Mao_Videos

This is a real life story about a family I have become exceptionally attached to in Cambodia.

I have recorded their lives through the pictures and stories as their lives developed.

Please take time to read it by clicking on the various links below. I believe it will give you a great insight as to how some peoples lives are.

I've added a page about the city they live in. See images of the lovely Cambodian place it was compared to how it looks now the Chinese have almost taken over.

THANK YOU Videos from the family:

As generous contributions have improved the lives of the family, I know they find it very difficult to believe and understand how people on the other side of the planet - are helping to transform their lives.

Mao has often said to me that he doesn't know where he or his family would be, what they would have done, how they would eat. When he thinks about how his family are living (albeit still in very poor conditions compared to our standards) and then thinks how they would have been, a grin appears on his face that is bigger than if any of us had won the lottery!

The family were desperate to record these videos (just a few of the many they have recorded) to thank everyone who helped them in any way - and were keen to dress in their best clothes (even wearing a watch that didn't work that a tourist gave them!) to show the progress they were making.

These are just a few of the many videos they have recorded showing their gratitude.

Other videos:

There have been many times when I was so pleased I had started recording...,.

The boys can be a great source of entertainment. Their facial expressions, smiles and trying to communicate with me are so infectious.

There are many stories I could tell about my times with them and it is so rewarding seeing them as they grow up.

Watching them opening the bags of clothes and boxes of toys (the first toys they had ever had to play with) was special, amusing and touching - and a massive thanks to those people who contributed and put huge smiles on these boys faces.
