DATE(S) VISITED
A selection of 160 photographs (out of 359) taken on my travels in the Domincan Republic. The main concern I had travelling to the area was the reported approaching Hurricane Matthew. The pictures are around the capital - Santo Domingo and the road journey onwards to the border with Haiti. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of my travels and experiences - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (03 - 07 Oct) of the blog.
My thoughts: WhiIst I enjoyed my visit, I can also understand why many tourists stay in their holiday resorts and don't venture further afield as care has to be taken - but sadly they miss out on some interesting places.
