I have always enjoyed collecting a souvenir or two from countries I have visited - to bring back the memories of my visit to that country. I have several display cabinets to exhibit them in... and some of them I really treasure.

Normally, I return with a few banknotes and coins from each country. I have sorted the banknotes and have them in order. The box contains over 2000 notes from around 100 countries although a few countries have changed their currency, whilst some have become worthless due to the economic situation - ie Venezuela, Zimbabwe.
The notes on the left half of the box are all from one country - Cambodia! Due to the fact that they are worth so little, (which is part change from US dollars) I end up bringing them home. I have realised that I am a Cambodian Millionaire - as I have over a million Riels!

I do enjoy being reminded of my travels - and what better way than to display items in my house. Here are examples of what I have done.
The first pictures are one banknote from each country (in alphabetical order and then in a colour scheme)
The notes in the frame are the various denominations from Cambodia.
