A selection of 60 photographs (out of 104) taken on my visit to Santiago - the largest island of Cape Verde. Whilst I was based in Praia - the capital of the Cape Verde islands, I also travelled to Tarrafal in the north of the island and to several location around Praia. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (11-15 October) of the blog. 

My thoughts: Santiago was more of a locals island - rather than a destination for tourists - but I enjoyed experiencing the culture and people.
